For its second year, Sleep Number is proud to collaborate with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to provide legendary athletes with proven quality sleep and personalized sleep insights. This year, Sleep Number was onsite during Enshrinement Week to offer 1:1 consultations to all Hall of Famers and their families in attendance.
Athletes went through a personalized pressure mapping experience and met with Mark Aloia, Ph.D., Head of Sleep and Behavioral Sciences, SleepIQ Health at Sleep Number, where they learned about the important connection between sleep and performance.
One of those athletes, and a Sleep Number-sponsored athlete, is one of the greatest defenders of all time and newest inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
DeMarcus Ware knows the power of proven quality sleep. While he may not be in the NFL anymore, Ware depends on high-quality sleep to help improve his performance, energy and recovery.
“There’s 371 of us now in the HOF class, and to have their [Sleep Number’s] doctor come in and teach us about sleep…sleep is so important when it comes to recovery, especially at the tail end of your career,” said Ware.
Ware has been a smart sleeper since 2020 and has been a passoinate advocate for all that Sleep Number does for players.
“When you team with a company that’s the best in class with sleep and wellness, and not only in the NFL but in the Hall of Fame too, it’s amazing to be a part of this whole initiative that is creating so much change in people’s lives,” said Ware.
As the Official Sleep + Wellness Partner of the NFL, Sleep Number helps players unlock their full potential through sleeping next level, and 80% of NFL players have a Sleep Number® smart bed.*
Like diet and exercise, quality sleep is essential for optimal well-being and performance.
